New Foundation Design and Analysis & Existing Foundation Repair, Upgrading and Regrouting


The Foundation Design and Analysis & Existing Foundation Repair course covers reciprocating compressor foundations through inception, design, installation, operation, failure, and repair.  Participants will learn:

  • An overview of foundation design and analysis methods for new installations for reciprocating compressors
  • Re-grouting, engineering considerations and repair procedures for existing foundations

The following topics will be reviewed in practical terms, providing information and techniques that can be used immediately.

  • The basics of installing a foundation and common problem areas
  • Vibration dissipation
  • Equipment mounting
  • Soil characteristics
  • Design specifications
  • Foundation loads
  • Failure analysis methods
  • Repair techniques
  • Important aspects of various ACI specifications
