FACTORS IN COMPRESSOR STATION DESIGN

This 2 ½ day workshop will give engineers and design professionals information on how to design and integrate the various parts of a compressor station into an effective and efficient system. It will provide practical knowledge on how to design a new compressor station or evaluate the design of an existing compressor station.  It has limited enrollment so register soon to insure your space.

Course Content

Participants will receive practical instruction that will enable them to:

  • Make decisions related to the design of the main systems in a compressor station
  • Solve related problems
  • Ask the right questions when designing
  • Manage a design project for a small station
  • Choose what equipment goes with the chosen compression system
  • Lay out major interconnecting piping
  • Do calculations to size equipment
  • Consider site-specific requirements for compressor station layout.

A team of industry subject matter experts will lead the class.  A combination of lecture and hands-on, group exercises provide a valuable learning experience.  Participants are placed in small teams, using a "game board" to work on various compressor station design scenarios.

The target audience for this workshop is engineers and technical people with 0-5 years industry experience.
