GMRC Mission Statement

GMRC's vision is to be a leading, financially self-sufficient, not-for-profit research corporation that provides focused, cost-effective technology, products and services for the global marketplace in the rapidly changing natural gas, oil and petrochemical industries.

Focused Means We will

  • Concentrate efforts in the areas of fluid & mechanical systems with emphasis on compression facilities.
  • Conduct & coordinate applied research and technology.
  • Concentrate on high-impact areas having broad application to the natural gas industry.
  • Also add value to other industries (oil, petrochemicals, etc.).

Cost-Effective Technology, Products and Services Means We...

  • Use the most cost-effective resources to develop new technology software and hardware products and arrange for technical support of those products.
  • Provide high-quality, value-added design, troubleshooting and field services.
  • Conduct, facilitate and sponsor technical training seminars and workshops.
  • Sponsor a yearly Gas Machinery Conference.

  • Maintain a research reserve sufficient to provide continuity in
    yearly R&D programs.
  • Continue to look for cost-effective ways to leverage (co-fund)
    research activities and minimize costs.
  • Use cost-effective contracting strategies to conduct research and
    develop technology.
  • Balance our research and technology expenditures against our
    income resources.
