This 2-day course provides practical advice for the operation and maintenance of compression equipment. The course covers basic compressor package operation and makes practical recommendations for cost effective and reliable operating and maintenance tasks. This class includes a brief discussion about the impact of compressor station operation on your company’s bottom line financial performance. It gives specific guidance on the most cost effective operating and maintenance activities and explains how you can make a difference.
This course addresses the following compression equipment:
Prime movers / drivers:
- Reciprocating engines (two-stroke and four-stroke cycle)
- Gas turbines
- Electric motors
Gas compressors:
- Reciprocating compressors
- Centrifugal compressors
- Screw-type compressors
For each type of equipment listed above, the following information is provided:
- Brief theory of operation and construction
- Review the key operating and performance parameters monitored by operations
- Top 5 recommended O&M (Operations and Maintenance) practices that provide cost effective, efficient, and reliable operation.
